The Mask of Emotion

The Mask of Emotion by Vikash Kalra is a vibrant contemporary portrait exploring identity, expression, and the layers of emotion hidden within the human face. Fragmented features and an intense gaze create a character that feels both familiar and mysterious.

Turquoise, deep blue, orange, yellow, crimson, green, and black are layered through expressive brushstrokes, curved marks, and textured applications of paint. Bold color blocks construct the face through abstraction while preserving a recognizable human presence.

The warm orange background contrasts with cooler blue and green elements, giving the composition strong visual energy. It is suited to collectors seeking bold abstract portraiture and contemporary Indian art for modern homes, studios, offices, galleries, hotels, and private collections.
