Contemporary Soul

Contemporary Soul is an original hand-drawn portrait by contemporary Indian artist Vikash Kalra exploring identity, emotion and the complexity of the human face. Bold lines, energetic marks and layered colour create a fragmented portrait that moves beyond conventional representation.

Deep brown, black, blue, red and yellow-green tones build rhythm across the composition, while spontaneous marks add movement and emotional intensity. The expressive eyes and angular facial structure give the work a strong presence on paper.
